Today is a special day… it’s the 5th Anniversary of Laura and I being married. I’m a little nostalgic today because it’s warm and a little bit overcast… just like it was 5 years ago today in Nauvoo, Illinois. I LOVE our wedding anniversary… perhaps even more than my own birthday. I guess that’s my theory… you know you’re in love when you wedding anniversary is more exciting than your own birthday.
We were married on 06-05-04. Right after the wedding ceremony my sister pulled me aside and whispered in my ear that we were officially married at 3:21pm… so we joke our wedding anniversary is 6-5-4-3-2-1…. and BLAST OFF. Truth be told… it was a BLAST OFF… it’s been a crazy 5 years… and we’ve got a lot done. Makes me wonder where we’ll be in 5 more years… Here’s a quick list of life events that we’ve gone through together in our first 5 years.
Welcomed 3 beautiful kids to our family
Moved across the country… twice
Completed a M.B.A.
Purchased a house
Visited 5 countries… and 22 states
Started a company
Gut and remodeled a house
Purchased another company
Gone broke
I’m sure I’ve missed some other things we’ve done together… but it’s been a wonderful 5 years… and I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful wife. Happy Anniversary Honey!
